15/05 Take a look at the playground that was built during this spring thanks to your contributions to our charity project here.

14/12 Charity news!!! The final amount of the money collected is 2271,24 EUR and this contribution has already gone to Orliska kindergarten (see the bank transfer order). How did we come to this sum? The festival-goers contributed 1002,62 EUR to the piggy banks (including the additional screening of Morgen), the same amount 1002,62 EUR was, as promised, added on by polska.lu, 200 EUR came from the auction of a Polski Fiat tour of Luxembourg with Muniek of T.Love and 66 EUR was donated by the Polski Fiat Autoklub. Thanks to all for your support!

28/11 We are pleased to inform you that the extra projection of the film Morgen on Saturday attracted 130 cinema fans who contributed with 112 EUR to our charity project.  

24/11 It is a great pleasure to announce that during the festival the spectators donated 867,10 euros to our charity project. But that's not all! The organisers of the festival and polska.lu decided to double this amount and together with the money collected during the charity action with Muniek Staszczyk (leader of T.Love), the final contribution will be at least 2000 EUR. You will also have another chance to support this project at the projection of Morgen which will take place this Saturday, Nov. 27, at 18.00 at the Cinémathèque (free entrance). The entire amount will then by used by polska.lu for the purchase of the playground.

22/11 The Grand Prix of the festival CinEast 2010 and also the Prix du Public goes to the film Morgen by Marian Crisan. The film will be screened again at the Cinémathèque on Saturday, 27th November, at 18.00. You can see the "thank you" video by the director below or here.

20/11 The number of places for the film Beats of Freedom tonight at Exit07 is limited to 150. Don't forget that you can see it also tomorrow at Ancien Cinéma.

19/11 Three international films tonight!  The virtually unknown gem of the Czech cinema Lea with appearances by Hanna Schygulla or Udo Kier and the biggest Central European production so far - Bathory (in original English version, no subtitles) with Anna Friel and Karel Roden. Check this if you don't know the story of the "Blood Countess". And of course, Essential Killing with Vincent Gallo is essential.

18/11 Tonight an extraordinary sports drama with muscles, a WWII story, animated shorts with free refreshments, exceptional Romanian short movies (awarded at Cannes and Berlin) as well as another screening of Kawasaki's Rose.

18/11 Last night there was a great discussion with the Slovak director Diana Fabiánová after the big applause to her film. Check the photos in the gallery here!

17/11 Busy day today! Interesting documentary evening with the photographer Jan Saudek and a lot of Berlin rabbits, topped up by a special guest - Diana Fabiánová, the Slovak director of The Moon Inside You - or the classic The Cremator? But there is also Dom zly at Ancien Cinéma for those who missed it last week. And we encourage you to go to see Bathory on a big screen in Esch as the space at the Cinémathèque is limited. Tough, isn't it?

10/11 Last night we had a successful opening at the Cinémathèque, with some entertaining speeches, great Romanian wine, snacks and a phone interview with Anca Puiu. All seats were taken for the film Morgen! Check gallery for pictures.

9/11 Tonight we project two films (starting with the Slovak candidate for Oscars), which will not be repeated, so don't miss them! After Morgen, the producer of the film, who unfortunately cannot come in person, will talk to us by phone and "vin d'honneur" will be offered by the Romanian Embassy.
