Be prepared for one of the most controversial films ever to come out of the dark corners of Europe: Mladen Djordevic's "Life and Death of a Porno Gang" is not only a biting satire of post-Milosevic Serbia, but also a blackly funny (and explicit!) exploration of the snuff movie legend.
When aspiring cineaste Marko is unable to find backing for his artsy-fartsy projects, he decides to give it a go as a porn director. After bankrupting his boss's company, he hits the road with a theatre troupe composed of handpicked luminaries such as HIV-infected drug addicts, burlesque dancers and zoophile porn stars. Where else would you find both a pasture filled with radioactively glowing cows and a gang rape scene performed by a group of elderly hillbillies?
