The scenario is based on the successful novel of the same name written by Jurga Ivanauskaitė, the most widely read writer in Lithuania.
The main character, Monika, is a married fifty year old woman, feeling loneliness and disappointment - she has no children, her husband is having an affair... The car crash and the suicide of an injured prostitute changes Monika's life considerably. When her husband is away on business, Monika decides to take care of three former prostitutes deported from Germany and the four women settle in a country mansion. This leads Monika to reassess her true values.
