After a tragedy about which the audience knows next to nothing, a woman leaves Holland and seeks solitude by travelling through the rugged landscapes of Connemara in Ireland. She meets Martin, who has also chosen a solitary life in an isolated house. They make an agreement: Anna will help Martin with his work in exchange for room and board, but there is one condition: no personal questions. This condition is however difficult to uphold in practice. Curiosity and complicity ensue, common interests appear - who will be the first to break the deal?
